Sale of craft and equipment start Sunday16th June

Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre is holding a mid season (sealed bids) auction of boats and equipment.

The sale includes dinghies, kayaks, sails and more. Items are available to view from 10am Sunday 16th June (which is also our Father’s day family special) viewing closes Sunday 30th June. You can view at any time during office hours Monday - Sunday from 09.00 - 16.30

You can place a bid at any time during the viewing period. Your bid will be sealed and the highest bidder (only) will be notified by 17:00 on 1 July.

All items must be collected and paid for by Friday 5th July or the item will be offered to the next highest bidder.

A full list of items for sale is available from the centre or by calling 01603 632307. The list details the item's age and condition together with a guide price range. Please note that the lower price is also the item's reserve price.Thank you for supporting Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre. This sale assists with our equipment roll over programme and all profits will be put back into essential equipment and repairs.

Free Twilight taster sessions for Norfolk school teachers

Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre is offering free taster sessions for Norfolk school teachers to help them engage more fully with the benefits of Learning Outside the Classroom.

Whitlingham OEC was awarded the Quality Badge by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom in 2010. The free sessions would include a short tour of the centre, a Q&A session to cover all the aspects of educational visits, followed by an activity such as sailing, canoeing, kayaking, climbing or archery.

The centre offers a huge range of activities that can be tailored to the objectives and needs of the group and can even be linked to curriculum subjects. The ever popular activity weeks before the start of the summer break are now virtually full, but enquiries are still being taken for after school clubs, and ed visits that can be tailored to your dates and times.

Once you have received your confirmation you can now pay over the telephone direct to the centre.

Don't forget you can also book for your group, family and friends to have your own outdoor adventure!

With a team of 8 people its just £7 per hour per person for most activities (min 2 hr session)

Parking at Whitlingham

The car parks at Whitlingham are run by Parking Eye and cameras observe your entry and exit times.

This is not a standard pay and display car park.

Although charges apply to all car park users there is a 15 minute grace for customers of Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre to drop & pick up participants before payment is due.

If you stay longer than 15 minutes from the moment you entered the car park you must pay for the full amount of time spent in the car park otherwise a Penalty Notice of up to £100 will be issued.

You can pay for your total length of stay at any time before you leave the car park.

PLEASE NOTE:

The car parks are under the jurisdiction of Whitlingham Charitable Trust and funds received go towards the upkeep of the park.
